“A League of Our Own”
Last night Fox 11 in Los Angeles aired a 30-minute or longer special titled “A League of Our Own,” about the Los Angeles Urban League. The special reported by Tony McEwing looked at the work the LAUL was doing with their program “Neighborhoods at Work,” around South L.A. The LAUL had five main points Employment, Education, Health Care, Housing and Neighborhood Safety. “It’s our job to make this a community,” said Johnnie Raines a long time resident of South L.A. while talking to McEwing. The team at Fox 11 took 4 months to film the LAUL events and activities.
